Computer Hard Drive Faults & Reported Issues:

The loss of data from a hard drive can be (a) disruptive to your business and (b) expensive if you are not in a position to recover the data. Here at oxford data recovery we have been helping businesses in the Oxford area recover data from inaccessible or damaged hard drives for the last 15 years and have been doing so speedily and cost effectively with minimal disruption to the day to day running of a business. We have also helped single users in their quest to recover data that has been lost as a result of a hardware failing. Our engineers are on hand to help with the recovery of data from drives that have suffered at the mercies of firmware and operating system failure also. Contact us for more information and a free diagnosis if your PC hard drive has developed a fault.

Computer Hard Drive Internal Power Failure Problems:

The PC hard drive operates using the power supply inside the computer. This power supply allows power to be supplied to all of the devices within the PC especially the motherboard to which all devices are ultimately connected. A failing hard drive may be failing as the result of not enough power reaching it or too much. Many might consider that there is no such thing as too much power but a sudden highly concentrated burst of electrical current can render the motherboard destroyed and/or the hard drive malfunctioning because of problems caused to the onboard printed circuitry. We have helped many of our clients recover data that would have been otherwise lost as the result of a power surge that could not have been predicted.

Computer Hard Drive Printed Circuitry Malfunction:

The PCB on a hard drive is sensitive and therefore requires careful handling. We at oxford data recovery have engineers at our data recovery centers who are experienced in recovering data from drives that no longer continue to function as a result of a faulty circuit board. Problems that can arise are the misappropriation of correct firmware on the board as a result or corruption or damage caused to components through overuse without downtime. We have also been called upon to deal with data loss because the PCB has literally fried as a result of too much electricity.

Computer Board And HDD Firmware Mismatches:

Depending on your hard drive the firmware can be on the platters in the drive or on the PCB attached to it. Modern hard drives have the firmware pre-written to the platters in the drive which allows for the reading of the firmware upon start up within the intervention of the PCB and problems can occur with the firmware if it has been pre-written to the drive before changes were made to the way in which the operating system or motherboard react to them.

Computer Hard Drive Problems As Caused By Linux, Unix, Windows & OS:

All operating systems can cause problems with the hard drives they are attached to. This can be caused by errors in the file directories or files that have been lost or accidentally deleted by the user. When operating systems cause hard drive problems they can do so by causing the computer to reboot over and over in a perpetual loop until user intervention halts it. Likewise the ‘Blue Screen of Death’ or other error messages can be displayed telling the user that problems are arising. We at oxford data recovery are well versed in problems caused by operating system conflicts and suggest you contact us if such problems occur, first powering down your system to prevent any further loss of data if possible.
