Her enquiry contains a message that assigns blame incorrectly. A professional card used in a camera, put into a laptop, and "later that day I got an incorrect removal error despite not removing it, and now my camera and laptop cannot recognise it, and the footage I have shot has been lost." The computer noticed the card stop responding and assumed somebody had pulled it out. Nobody did — the card left the conversation on its own.

The decode: what the warning actually detects
